Primary School
Een schooljaar loopt in Uganda van februari t/m december. December en januari is voor hen de zomervakantie en is de school gesloten.
Primary School kent 10 klassen: Baby Class, Middle Class en Top Class zijn de eerste drie kleuterklassen. In Baby Class vinden we al kinderen van 3 jaar en deze kleintjes slapen 's middags op school een uurtje en liggen dan als sardientjes in een blikje op de grond van de klas. En ja, ze slapen echt!
Na de kleuterklassen komt Primary 1 t/m Primary 7. In Primary 7 wordt er hard gewerkt aan toetsen en aan het eind doen alle kinderen examen. Als ze slagen mogen ze, als daar geld voor is, door naar Secondary School.
Voor een kind dat thuis woont en elke dag naar Primary School gaat betaalt u 150 euro per jaar. Dit geld wordt besteed aan onderwijs, salarissen, lunch op school en andere kosten. De ouders moeten zelf voor een schooluniform zorgen, niet alles kan tenslotte van één kant komen.
Niet alle kinderen kunnen thuis blijven wonen als ze naar school gaan. Sommige kinderen wonen gewoonweg te ver weg of hebben een dermate slechte thuissituatie dat het beter is dat het kind op school woont.
Voor deze kinderen vragen wij een bijdrage van 250 euro per jaar.
A school year in Uganda runs from February to December. December and January are the summer holidays for them and the school is closed.
Primary School has 10 classes: Baby Class, Middle Class and Top Class are the first three kindergarten classes. In Baby Class we already find children of 3 years old and these little ones sleep for an hour in the afternoon at school and then lie like sardines in a can on the floor of the class. And yes, they do sleep!
After kindergarten comes Primary 1 to Primary 7. In Primary 7 they work hard on tests and at the end all children take exams. If they pass, they can, if there is money, continue to Secondary School.
You pay 150 euros per year for a child who lives at home and attends Primary School every day. This money is spent on education, salaries, school lunch and other expenses. The parents have to provide a school uniform themselves, after all not everything can come from one side.
Not all children can live at home when they go to school. Some children simply live too far away or have such a bad home situation that it is better for the child to live at school.
For these children we ask a contribution of 250 euros per year.

Hieronder kunt u het aanmeldingsformulier downloaden. Zodra wij dat ingevuld bij ons binnen krijgen geven we dit door aan Anthony, onze partner in Uganda, en hij zal met zijn medewerkers overleggen welk kind het eerst in aanmerking komt om gesponsord te worden. Dan vult hij voor het betreffende kind Child History Form in en maakt een paar foto's. In het Child History Form staat wat achtergrond informatie van het kind.
Ik verwerk vervolgens de gegevens in onze administratie en stuur alle informatie door naar u, inclusief onze informatiemap met veel informatie over Uganda, het schoolsysteem, etc. Ook hebben we daar een leuke groeimeter in opgenomen waar u de ontwikkeling van uw kind op bij kunt houden. Het is erg leuk om van het begin af aan er ook foto's bij te plakken.

You can download the registration form below. As soon as we receive it, we will pass this on to Anthony, our partner in Uganda, and he will discuss with his employees which child is the first to be eligible to be sponsored. Then he fills out Child History Form for the child in question and takes a few photos. The Child History Form contains some background information about the child.
I then process the data in our administration and send all information to you, including our information booklet with a lot of information about Uganda, the school system, etc. We have also included a nice growth chart where you can keep track of the development of your child. . It's a lot of fun to add photos from the start.
