Het bestuur van de Stichting
Pieter Streefkerk, voorzitter van de Stichting vinden we regelmatig in het vliegtuig op weg naar Uganda. Behalve dat hij bezig is met sponsorwerving voor de Stichting, is hij ook actief met het ontwikkelen van initiatieven die ten goede komen van Uganda en dan met name voor de bewoners van Lwengo en omgeving.
Marga Streefkerk, secretaris van de Stichting en houdt zich voornamelijk bezig met de administratie van de sponsorkinderen, de contacten met sponsorouders en Anthony in Uganda.
Erik Koster, penningmeester, neemt vanaf januari 2022 het financiële stokje over van Wim Bos.
Harry Hoorn heeft als voornaamste taak fondsen werven.
We zijn nog op zoek naar iemand die Marga wil ondersteunen bij het secretariaat en de PR voor haar/zijn rekening wil nemen. Zie "vacatures".
Met z'n allen bedenken we nieuwe activiteiten om de sponsors nog meer te betrekken bij hun sponsorkind, En natuurlijk zijn wij allemaal bezig om sponsors te werven voor de kinderen in Lwengo.
Pieter en Marga reizen minimaal twee keer per jaar samen naar Uganda om alle sponsorkinderen te zien en nieuwe plannen met Anthony en zijn staf te bespreken (zie ook het tabje: mee op sponsorreis)
The board of the Foundation
We regularly find Pieter Streefkerk, chairman of the Foundation on the plane to Uganda. In addition to recruiting sponsors for the Foundation, he is also active in developing initiatives that benefit Uganda, especially the residents of Lwengo and the surrounding area.
Marga Streefkerk, secretary of the Foundation and is mainly concerned with the administration of the sponsor children, the contacts with sponsor parents and Anthony in Uganda.
Erik Koster, treasurer, will take over the financial baton from Wim Bos from January 2022.
Harry Hoorn 's main task is to raise funds. We are still looking for someone who would like to support Marga with the secretariat and take care of the PR. (see "vacatures")
Together we devise new activities to involve the sponsors even more with their sponsor child. And of course we are all busy recruiting sponsors for the children in Lwengo.
Pieter and Marga travel together to Uganda at least twice a year to see all the sponsored children and to discuss new plans with Anthony and his staff (see also the tab: join us on a sponsored trip)
Anthony met "zijn" kinderen!
Uganda ligt in Centraal Afrika en wordt begrensd door Sudan in het noorden, Kenia in het oosten, Congo in het westen en Rwanda en Tanzania in het zuiden. Tijdens ons verblijf in 2012 maakten we kennis met Anthony en het werk waar hij mee bezig was en is. Anthony een bevlogen man met een droom, probeert Lwengo Community op een hoger plan te trekken en een einde te maken aan de heersende armoede d.m.v. o.a. onze financiële bijdrage en sponsoring van kinderen, maar ook door de bevolking goede voorlichting te geven en zelfwerkzaamheid te stimuleren.
Zijn motto is: geef geen vis, maar een hengel en leer hen vissen!
Wij waren geraakt en besloten hem daar bij te gaan helpen. U ook?
Uganda is located in Central Africa and bordered by Sudan to the north, Kenya to the east, Congo to the west, and Rwanda and Tanzania to the south. During our stay in 2012 we met Anthony and the work he was and is doing. Anthony a passionate man with a dream, tries to lift Lwengo Community to a higher level and make an end at the prevailing poverty by means of our financial contribution and sponsoring of children, but also by providing the population with good information and stimulating self-motivation.
His motto is: don't give fa ish, but a fishing rod and teach them to fish!
