Verantwoording
Alle inkomsten die gegenereerd worden zullen ten goede van de kinderen komen.
Extra giften, buiten de sponsorgelden om, worden verzameld op de rekening van de Stichting. In geval van nood zullen deze gelden aangesproken worden, maar te allen tijde ten goede komen aan het district Lwengo en haar inwoners.
De kracht van Lwengo Kids Foundation is haar kleinschaligheid. Omdat we dit willen behouden heeft het bestuur in 2020 besloten om niet meer dan 250 kinderen in sponsoring te nemen. En dan mogen het er best een paar meer zijn, maar in principe gaan we voor maximaal 250 kinderen.
- In oktober 2018 hebben we voor 77 kinderen sponsorouders gevonden.
- in maart 2019 liep het aantal sponsorkinderen op naar 119
- In oktober 2019 is het aantal sponsorkinderen, mede door overname van Lwengo Children Project, opgelopen tot 165
- Op 2 december 2019 schreef ik het 185ste kind in.
- en op 13 februari 2020 hadden we 201 kinderen in sponsoring.
- In februari 2021 tellen we 210 kinderen
- In september 2022 hebben we 233 kinderen in sponsoring
- het jaar 2023 starten we met 239 kinderen in sponsoring. Er wacht ook nog een meisje op sponsoring.

Het bestuur van de Stichting alsmede Anthony in Uganda genieten geen beloning voor hun werkzaamheden. Alles doen we op vrijwillige basis. Het Stichtingskapitaal, sponsorgeld, donaties, subsidies, eventuele erfstellingen, legaten en schenkingen zullen geheel ten goede komen aan de kinderen in Lwengo, Uganda.
Op 25 april 2017 hebben wij de ANBI-status gekregen van de Belastingdienst. Wij zijn daarmee erkend als betrouwbare hulporganisatie.
Door deze ANBI-status zijn donaties/giften aftrekbaar van de inkomstenbelasting. Voor Lwengo Kids Foundation betekent het dat wij geen schenkbelasting en erfbelasting behoeven te betalen.
En natuurlijk maken we kosten.. We denken dan aan drukwerk, papier, postzegels, etc. Maar we proberen dat toch zo goedkoop mogelijk te doen en uw bijdrage komt dus voor laten we zeggen 98% ten goede van ons doel; de kinderen in Lwengo.
In 2021 is met algemene stemmen in het bestuur besloten dat Pieter en Marga één keer per jaar op kosten van de Stichting de kinderreis mogen declareren. Een reis bestaat niet uit vakantie, maar is hard werken en de Stichting is voldoende financieel gezond om dit zo belangrijke monitor werk te kunnen bekostigen.
Accountability
All income generated will benefit the children.
Extra donations, besides the sponsor money, are collected on the account of the Foundation. In an emergency, these funds will be used, but will at all times benefit the Lwengo district and its residents.
The strength of Lwengo Kids Foundation is its small scale. Because we want to keep this, the board has decided in 2020 to sponsor no more than 250 children. And then it may well be a few more, but in principle we go for a maximum of 250 children.

The board of the Foundation as well as Anthony in Uganda are not rewarded for their work. We do everything on a voluntary basis. The Foundation's capital, sponsorship money, donations, subsidies, any inheritances, bequests and donations will fully benefit the children in Lwengo, Uganda.
On April 25, 2017, we received ANBI status from the Tax Authorities. We are therefore recognized as a reliable aid organization.
Because of this ANBI status, donations / gifts are deductible from income tax. For Lwengo Kids Foundation it means that we do not have to pay gift tax and inheritance tax.
And of course we incur costs. We are thinking of printing, paper, stamps, etc. But we try to do that as cheaply as possible and your contribution is therefore 98%, let's say, for the benefit of our goal; the children in Lwengo.
In 2021 it was decided unanimously in the board that Pieter and Marga may declare the children's trip once a year at the expense of the Foundation. A trip does not consist of a holiday, but is hard work and the Foundation is financially healthy enough to pay for this important monitoring work.
